Can i ask my doctor to prescribe me spironolactone for my hormonal acne when i’m only 15?

spironolactonen is a drug used for hormonal acne.
i usually breakout before and during my preiod. i did some research and read that this will help hormonal acne.
Am i allowed to ask my doctor to precribe this medication? I have a new doctor so i think i will bbe uncomfortable. and What can i do if the doctor refuses to prescribe it for me?

Spionolactone isn’t an acne medication… it’s a diuretic used primarily for the treatment of hypertension and congestive heart failure.
